Reef Relief supports and protects the coral reef ecosystems and is a nonprofit dedicated to the following:
- Focuses on rigorous science to educate the public; advocacy toward
policymakers to achieve conservation, protection, and restoration of coral
reefs
- Increases public awareness of the importance and value of living coral reef
ecosystems
- Increases scientific understanding and knowledge of living coral reef
ecosystems
- Strengthens grassroots community-based efforts to protect coral reef
ecosystems
- Supports efforts that proactively address the root causes of coral reef decline
that come with poor water quality, harmful human interactions with coral
reef ecosystems, and the negative impacts of climate change
- Designs, develops, supports, and implements strategies for marine protected
areas associated with coral reef ecosystems
- Encourages and supports eco-tourism as part of sustainable community
development that protects and preserves coral reef ecosystems
- Strengthens our organizational capacity to carry out our mission
